VE Report for May 6, 2010

The VE Team had a successful exam session on May 6th, where 11 examinees were administered a total of 18 exam elements. One of our examinees was a recently licensed Technician, who successfully passed his General exam at our session. All of the other examinees had no license prior to this exam session. One examinee passed both the Technician and General exams. Eight other examinees earned their Technician License. Two new General and 8 new Technician Licensees, made for a very rewarding session.
While not all of the new hams were in the recent SARA Technician Class, several were, and the value of the class was again demonstrated. I want to thank all of the examinees that attended our exam session, the VEs who assisted with the session and the Instructors who were involved with the recent class.
The paperwork for this exam session was in the mail the next day, and I expect the new call signs to be issued very soon. Let’s all help these new hams become “radio active” once those calls are issued.
