SARA Nets - January 2010
Submitted by Administrator on Tue, 01/26/2010 - 13:35
SARA has made changes concerning the nets using the SARA repeater and the Simplex nets, run in cooperation with SARA. The 2M net on the SARA W0JH repeater on Monday evenings and the 10M simplex net on Tuesday evenings have been discontinued.
The SARA 2M net on Mondays and the SARA 10M net on Tuesdays are no longer in operation.
A new 2M rag chew net at 9pm on Wednesdays will start January 27 2010.
The new 2m net using the SARA W0JH repeater on 147.060 + offset 114.8PL will be on Wednesday evenings at 9pm. This will be more of a rag chew style and 'topic' net. SARA urges all members and interested parties to give it a try. It sounds interesting. This net is expected to last about an hour.
Refer to SARA Nets for SARA Nets details. ARES members who used to check in to the SARA Nets should refer to the Washington County ARES web site at MN Washington CO ARES for changes concerning the ARES nets and checking in.
SARA thanks all past and present Net Control Operators who have helped out on the nets. Without you they would not have been possible.
As the new 2M net continues, Rick Brennan KØBR would be happy to have others available as backup NCOs so let him know if you are available.
