WØJH REPEATER VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE

PLEASE do NOT link this repeater via Echolink or any other software program to or from your station.

Monday evening (and Tuesday morning) we experienced some noise that has the signature of being from a computer or linked radio. (FYI -- we are recording all transmission on the input side.) We have done testing and the repeater will not transmit without the proper input CTCSS tone even if we turn the squelch all the way off and transmit at high power with the repeater. This means that the interference has the correct CTCSS tone. It is possible that the person doing this may not even know he or she is causing a problem. We can hear the signal on the input to the repeater and know it is being transmitted in. We have several people prepared to help triangulate the signal to let the control operator know they are causing interference. If you want the repeater on Echolink or IRLP enabled, please let the SARA repeater committee know. We will then look at what it will take to obtain the proper equipment to grant your request. If you feel that it was your station that caused the interference, please let us know and it will be kept strictly confidential and we can put our efforts towards more productive tasks.
