WØJH 2011 “Remembering the Edmund Fitzgerald” Split Rock Lighthouse Special Event: Online QSL Requests

NØDRX & WØOXB match QSL requests with logs

An extended deadline for online requests for QSL certificates for this special event expired January 14. Although we planned to have the certificates sent by the end of December, the process was delayed due to the continued request activity.

Recently, when correlating the data from online requests with our log data, we discovered a technical issue. Regrettably, many of the call signs of individuals requesting certificates were lost at our end. Fortunately, we can still process all requests since we have the other data entered in the online system. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience this causes!

We anticipate having certificates e-mailed (pdf format) to valid contacts within the next couple weeks. For those individuals whose call signs are omitted from our online request data base, we’ll be sending an e-mail. We ask those who receive the e-mail to reply, being sure to include their call sign.

If anyone has not already submitted an online QSL request for a certificate confirming a contact with WØJH for the 2011 event, you may still do so by sending an e-mail with all necessary QSL contact information (e.g., call sign, date, time, frequency, signal report) to: w0jh@arrl.net. Any late requests will be processed after those previously submitted. We expect to have all sent by the end of February. (Note: Snail-mail requests for this annual event have not been accepted since 2010.)

Again, we apologize to everyone who followed the online QSL request process; the loss of call sign data was at our end. Please look for us again as we operate WØJH from Split Rock Lighthouse during the first weekend in November.

Shel NØDRX
Trustee for WØJH
